Find Your Strength and Ease

"Graceful Mountain" describes the balance that I strive to attain in my life, as strength and grace are the epitome of health, in all arenas: physical, mental, spiritual, and communal.  As a massage therapist and Yogi these elements are reflected in my professional practice and what I aim to help my clients find.  Bodywork and Yoga are some of the best ways to learn from our bodies and heal, allowing our minds to be quiet and to find some peace in our chaotic lives.

I have been practicing massage since 2005.  Being a skier and avid outdoors woman led me to a degree in sports science and physiology from the University of Utah, and through a yoga teacher training, all of which have deepened my knowledge of how the human body functions and recovers.  My specialty has become deep tissue and injury recovery, though I incorporate a plethora of massage modalities ranging from Thai massage to craniosacral therapy.

Tackling Health Goals

Customized to meet your needs.  While I specialize in deep tissue work I will combine modalities to create a session to work with your body and your goals.  Modalities may include and are not limited to: deep tissue, sports, swedish, thai/yoga stretches and range of motion, cupping, craniosacral,  myofascial release, and aromatherapy.

According to the Upleder Institute, "CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of a physiological body system called the craniosacral system - comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. Using a soft touch generally no greater than 5 grams, or about the weight of a nickel, practitioners release restrictions in the craniosacral system, which has been shown to improve the functioning of the central nervous system, as well as many other systems of the body, such as digestive, musculoskeletal, respiratory, circulatory, and more. CST has also been shown to help with the physical components related to such somatic conditions as Post Traumatic Stress, depression and anxiety.  By facilitating the body's natural and innate healing processes, CST is increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease, and has been shown to be beneficial for people seeking help with a wide range of healthcare challenges and symptoms."

Health embodies the whole person, body, mind and soul.  The strongest medicine is a healthy diet, and lifestyle.  Unfortunately these are also the hardest habits to create.  Where ever you are on your health journey I'd love to help you progress!  We must remember to love and care for ourselves so that we might do the same for others.

"I help people as a way to work on myself, and I work on myself as a way to help people...  To me, that's what emerging is all about."
